Norwood Shopping Plaza Owner Calls for Zoning Change

NORWOOD, MA — The owner of a shopping plaza on Washington Street is hoping the town can mend the zoning split that exists at his property.

Owner Paul Eysie tells the Norwood Bulletin that his lot sits in both a commercial and residential district, even though the entire lot has been used for business for 50 years. The split means that anything in the residential zone requires a special permit and is not by-right. The entire property is accessed as commercial.

Eysie said he proposed the zoning change because he would like to upgrade and renovate the property.
