Norwood Superintendent Applications to be Accepted Until Jan. 13

NORWOOD, MA — Applicants interested in the Norwood superintendent opening will have until Jan. 13 to submit their applications.

That was the date given during an update on the search from School Committee members Michele Eysie Mullen and Lisa Igoe. According to the two, the brochure for the opening is in draft form. The qualifications and criteria for the job are also done, with the search committee to work on the job description once they receive input from the community.

Once the job is posted and the search committee receives applications, the group, with assistance from the Massachusetts Association of School Committee, will review candidates and select applicants to interview and invite for site visits and tours.

The job has yet to be posted.

In September, Superintendent Jim Hayden announced his intent to retire at the end of the school year.

Residents who are interested in giving their input on the search are asked to fill out a brief survey.
