Norwood Town Election Voter Information 2017

The Vote

The Norwood town elections include votes on several positions in town, including selectmen and school committee. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

On the Ballot

Here are the candidates in the major and contested races:

Board of Selectmen (Two Seats)

• Allan Howard (Incumbent)
• Paul Bishop (Incumbent)
• Kevin Pentowski (Challenger)

School Committee (Two Seats)

• Maura Smith
• Teresa Marie Stewart

Finance Commission (Two Seats)

• Robert Donnelly

Ballot Question

Voters will be asked to ban recreational marijuana businesses in town. If approved, the town will adopt two amendments to the town bylaws and zoning bylaws, all marijuana cultivators, testing facilities, product manufacturers, retailers, and any other type of marijuana-licensed business will be prohibited. The vote does not affect medical marijuana laws.
