
My sister Jennifer and I love brownies, and one day we combined our brownie addiction with our love for Reese's peanut butter cups. The result is this very sweet chocolate and peanut butter treat. Best enjoyed with a cold glass of milk.
SUPPLIES:
- 8-inch Square Pan
- Stirring Bowl
- Wooden Spoon/Spatula
- Toothpick
- Whisk
- Small Pot
- Measuring Spoons
- Oven Mitts
- Nonstick Cooking Spray

- 2 ounces (2 squares) unsweetened chocolate
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter
- 2 eggs, well beaten (in stirring bowl)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ¼ cups sugar
- 1 cup flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 4 Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
- Reese's Pieces (optional)
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350°F and spray pan with nonstick spray, such as Pam.
Melt chocolate and butter in pot over a low flame. Stir with wooden spoon or spatula often to keep from burning! When all melted, set aside to cool.
Using the whisk, add the vanilla and sugar to the beaten eggs until well blended. Stir in the cooled chocolate mixture. Stir in the flour and salt. Chop and add peanut butter cups along with any other miscellaneous ingredients (walnuts, etc.). Stir together. The batter should be very thick! Spread it evenly into the pan. At this point, sprinkle the top layer with Reese's Pieces if you'd like!
Put pan in oven and bake for approximately 30 minutes. Dip a toothpick into the center of the pan. If the toothpick is clean, the brownies are done.
