Pole On Fire, OUI, And More: Norwood Police Log

9:33 a.m. - A telephone pole on fire on Sumner Street was reported.

9:41 a.m. - The student resource officer reported that a student near the intersection of Walpole Street and George Willett Parkway was asked the day before if they needed a ride. The suspect is described as an older man with gray hair in a green pickup truck.

12:34 p.m. - A caller at Shaw’s on Nahatan Street told police that someone drove a vehicle over her foot.

1:57 a.m. - Phillip Nguyen, 18, of Norwood, was arrested near the intersection of Mill Pond and Coach lanes and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, and underage possession of alcohol.
