Police Log: Caller Reports Kids Playing With BB Guns

Excerpts from the Norwood Police Department log.

Sunday, Oct. 5

At 11:00 a.m., police reported malicious damage to a car on Winslow Avenue.

At 1:07 p.m., police reported glass in the road on Sumner Street near Bertucci’s. Norwood’s Department of Public Works picked up the glass.

At 3:32 p.m., police received a complaint of a motor vehicle in the municipal lot on Nathan Street that has been parked there for a month with a flat tire. Police checked the vehicle and reported it was legally parked with no flat tire.

At 4:52 p.m., police received a call reporting kids gathering and playing with what appeared to be BB guns near Lenox Avenue and Pleasant Street. Police determined the guns were toys.

Monday, Oct. 6

At 12:03 a.m., police reported a burglar alarm on Olde Derby Road. Police checked and confirmed the area was secure.

At 2:26 a.m., police attempted to make contact with a resident on Washington Street on behalf of Massachusetts State Police and received no answer at the door of the residence.
