UPDATE: Arrest Made in Norwood Cat Thief [VIDEO]

NORWOOD, MA — Police are searching for a literal cat burglar who took a a 4-month old kitten up for adoption from a store in Norwood.

On Jan. 16 at about 12:47 p.m., Louie, who stayed at the Bay State Animal Cooperative's shelter at the Norwood Petco, was taken from his cage by a man. Police say the man grabbed the kitten, placed it inside of his jacket, and walked out of the store. A woman may be involved but police are not certain.

Norwood Patrolman Kevin Grasso told the Norwood Transcript and Bulletin that police are investigating and have received tips.

In light of the incident, the Norwood Petco has suspended adoptions at the store and has asked the Bay State Animal Cooperative to find new living arraignments for the four cats staying at the store.
