Question of the Day: Occupy Boston Support [POLL]

After hearing months of protesting, do you support the Occupy Boston movement?

We ask Norwood Patch readers a different question every weekday at noon. Questions could range from local decisions made by officials, to state issues, to national politics and entertainment. Whatever it is, we want to know what NORWOOD thinks! To answer, use our comments section below.

A Boston Globe poll on support for the Occupy Boston movement shows a fairly even split between Bay State residents.

The battle between the city and the protesters is becoming a near daily issue. The City of Boston is currently barring protesters from bringing in winter tents, citing a ban on bringing new structures and building material into the area as the reason, and last week, a judge extended a temporary court order barring city officials from suddenly clearing the encampment until a hearing that must be scheduled no later than Dec. 15.

The movement has garnered support from residents all across the state, including from right here in Norwood. Selectmen Chair Michael Lyons was quoted in a Globe survey saying, "What these people are doing is amazing."

Do you support the Occupy Boston movement, or would you support the City of Boston's efforts to evict the camp? If the protest were set up on the Norwood Town Common instead, would you feel differently?
