As if the September collapse wasn't punishment enough for Red Sox Nation, two of its leaders are now reportedly gone.

Red Sox manager Terry Francona "left" his post with the team on Oct. 1 after eight seasons and two World Series titles with Boston. Yesterday, ESPN reported general manager Theo Epstein agreed to a five-year contract with the Chicago Cubs and all that stands in the way of the "Boy Wonder" leaving Boston are the two clubs (Sox and Cubs) working out the details of compensation to complete the deal.

Less than a month after an epic collapse resulted in the Sox missing the playoffs all together, the team is now out a manager a general manager. How about those Red Sox?
