Rash Of Car Break-Ins Strike Norwood

Police say the break-ins are happening all across town.

NORWOOD, MA — A series of break-ins has the Norwood Police reminding residents to take care of their valuables and lock their roads.

In recent weeks, there have been multiple motor vehicle-related thefts across town, with no specific part of Norwood targeted.

Police posted the following on their Facebook page:

  • Cars are being entered if they are unlocked, and whatever is portable might be taken.
  • Cars that are locked, recently in the MBTA lots and in local businesses have had the windows smashed and things taken from the vehicles.
  • There is another group of thieves stealing tires and rims off of vehicles. Honda Accord vehicles seem to be a popular target.

As always, residents are advised to lock their cars, never leave valuables in their vehicles, and to try to park in well-lit areas.
