Realty Executives Esteemed Properties and Newton Rotary Team Up to Help Feed Hungry

Realty Executives Esteemed Properties, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Newton, will sponsor a canned food drive from Monday, December 1 through Friday, Dec. 19 to benefit the Newton Food Pantry.

Donations may be dropped in the collection box outside of Realty Executives Esteemed Properties at 701 Washington Street in Newtonville or brought to a Rotary Club of Newton meeting during the month of December.

“Too many people think Newton is a uniformly affluent community, when in fact too many of our residents live at or below the poverty level,” said Marie Presti, Broker/Owner of Realty Executives Esteemed Properties and a Rotary director. “Realty Executives has a tradition of helping families in need with essentials such as food, clothing and shelter. Our Newton franchise wants to do our part to help those less fortunate than ourselves.”

Added Mark Nichols, “As this year’s Newton Rotary President, I want to remind our community to think of the needy people in Newton this holiday season. The Rotary emblem stands for Service Above Self so I ask that you remember this when you consider making a donation to this year’s canned food drive.”
