Snowbank Crashes, Drugged Driving: Norwood Police Log

January 5

2:55 p.m. - A car crashed into a snowbank near the intersection of Pleasant Street and Lenox Avenue.

2:07 a.m. - A caller at the intersection of Washington Street and Ellis Avenue told police that a vehicle cut her off and it led to her hitting a snowbank.

4:24 p.m. - A caller near Mobil Gas on Route 1 told police that she was involved in a crash and the other vehicle fled up Route 1 North. After police located the second vehicle, Justin Sparkman, 32, of Lisbon, Connecticut, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of drugs (second offense), leaving the scene of property damage, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, failure to stop/yield, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
