The alleged cat-napper will face charges, police said.

NORWOOD, MA — Hours after a plea for help from the Norwood Police Department, a kitten taken from a local shelter has been found.

Norwood police announced Friday that Louie the kitten was located Friday morning and is in good health. He was turned over without incident and the man accused of taking him will face a larceny charge. Police have not released the man's name.

On Jan. 16 at about 12:47 p.m., Louie, who stayed at the Bay State Animal Cooperative's shelter at the Norwood Petco, was taken from his cage by a man. Police say the man grabbed the kitten, placed it inside of his jacket, and walked out of the store.
