Summer time Hot Dogs

There is nothing like Hot Dogs in the summertime. My favorite place to get one is Flo's in York Maine. When your on your way to Nubble Light (Last weeks post) stop at Flo's on Rt 1. Don't blink or your by it. They have a very extensive menu, you can get steamed hot dogs or steamed hot dogs. Their open every day except Wed. 11-3. Parking is tight..be careful. Expect to wait sometimes 30-45mins to get a $3. hot dog...wait! If your in line outside the fun is just beginning. once inside you breathe a sigh,(if your over 6' tall plan on ducking your head) "I'm there"..not so fast..here it takes on something like the "Soup Nazi" episode of Seinfeld, but with nicer people. Flo will go around the small room and ask you how many you want. (nobody can eat just one). then what you want on them. Most people get the "Special" which is mayo, Flo's secret relish & celery salt. Some people get the special loaded which is the same with onions. You can also get it other ways. Then you pay. then she starts serving...it's quite a production. Top if off with a cold can of Moxie (don't make a face)..if you like root beer or Dr. Pepper, you'll like Moxie...You now know my favorite place for a hot dog...what's yours?..let me know!
