Suspect Wanted By Norwood Police Tried To Barricade Himself Inside Apartment: Police
Monday night, officers arrested 28-year-old Anthony Ernest Pierce on Olde Derby Road.

NORWOOD, MA โ A felon wanted on a probation warrant was taken into custody, but nearly attempted to flee by jumping from a third floor balcony, police said.
Monday night, officers arrested 28-year-old Anthony Ernest Pierce on Olde Derby Road. Prior to the arrest, police learned that Pierce, a Quincy resident, was hiding in an apartment and had barricade the door to the apartment and was ready to jump out of the third floor unit because he suspected that police were looking for him.
Officers were able to get past the barricaded door and found Pierce allegedly ready to jump from the balcony. With officers directly below the balcony, Pierce surrendered without incident, according to the Norwood Police Department.
