Tips for Getting in to Boston to Watch the Bruins Parade

Train times and other important information for fans headed in to witness the Cup's return to Boston.

The announcement came mid-morning on Thursday that the Boston Bruins Championship parade would be held in Boston on Saturday, June 18, at 11:00 a.m. The parade will start at the TD Banknorth Garden and finish in Copley Square.

Now for you Bruins fans headed in to witness the return of Lord Stanley's Cup with your own eyes, here are a few visitor tips from the City of Boston website:

  • Take public transportation. Visit www.mbta.com or call 617-222-3200 for schedules and routes.

  • Keep in mind that there will be limited public restrooms along the parade route.

  • Please place trash and recycling in proper containers throughout the route.

  • Keep an eye on the weather forecast. As of right now, the forecast for Saturday indicates isolated thunderstorms. Plan accordingly.

  • Take special care to accommodate seniors, children or persons with disabilities who are looking to enjoy the festivities. 

  • Always follow the directions of public safety officials who will be present along the route.  

  • The parade starts at 11:00 a.m., but plan to show up earlier to claim a spot.

  • Trains running from Norwood Central Station on Saturday that will be in the city in time for the parade leave at 7:03 a.m. and 9:05 a.m. From Norwood Depot, those trains leave at 7:05 a.m. and 9:07 a.m.
