Two Arrested After Armed Robbery, Car Chase

A chase through Walpole and Norwood ended when police took two into custody.

NORWOOD, MA - Two people are in police custody after an armed robbery and chase through Walpole and Norwood Thursday night.

Police in Norwood responded to an armed robbery at Central Market in South Norwood according to WHDH.

Walpole police were able to locate the vehicle after officers in Norwood broadcast the description of the car.

Officers stopped the car, but the driver drove away, leading police on a chase through Walpole. The driver attempted to access Route 95 from Route 1, but police were able to block the entrance to the highway.

The vehicle crashed in an attempt to turn to Kendall Street from Route 27, prompting the passenger to run. Police, however, caught the second suspect after setting up a perimeter.

The driver was arrested before he was taken to a hospital.
