NORWOOD, MA — U.S. Attorney Carmen Ortiz was in Norwood today, walking the police beat with Chief William Brooks and learning about community policing.
Brooks told FOX25 that he offered Ortiz the chance to see community policing in action, with Ortiz jumping at the opportunity.
Brooks, who said he tries to walk a beat at least once a week, said he was outside with Ortiz for about two hours, talking to local business owners and discussing the challenges that Norwood faces.
