NORWOOD, MA — A man who tried to use a fake card at a Norwood car dealer is now wanted by the Norwood Police Department.
On Dec. 2, the pictured man entered the "Just for Jeeps" parts department at Central Jeep Chrysler Dodge of Norwood and attempted to purchase Jeep accessories with a fraudulent pre-paid Vanilla Master Card, according to Mass. Most Wanted. The card had its printed numbers scratched off, and a stamp machine was used to place a stolen name and credit/debit card number in their place. When the manager could not swipe the card he questioned the man for identification. The man fled with an accomplice before police arrived.
Police say the suspect is the same man who successfully purchased accessories with another cloned card a week earlier.
