See what the four most commonly reported scams have been in Norwood recently so you now what to watch out for.

NORWOOD, MA — Police are urging residents to watch out for scams, as several residents have been victims recently.
In Norwood, police said they've mostly seen four types of scams. They include:
- Bail scams: A person calls pretending to be a family member, who has been arrested. The caller asks for cash or gift cards to pay for bail.
- IRS scam: The caller pretends to be from the IRS and demands payment of late fees on overdue taxes. Police said the caller threatens to have the victim arrested if they don't pay the money.
- Computer scam: The caller offers to help a victim with a computer problem and gets personal information, so they can remotely access and control their online banking.
- Secret Scam: Someone receives a letter demanding payment as blackmail for keeping a secret about them.
"We are strongly advising you not to mail, wire, or transfer any money to anyone without speaking to a family member or the police department first," police said in a statement.
