Woman Struck By Car While Going To Bingo Dies From Injuries
Brooks told the selectmen Tuesday that the woman died a day and a half after she was hit.

NORWOOD, MA — A woman struck by a car on Jan. 28 died from her injuries, according to Norwood Police Chief Willam Brooks.
The victim, only identified as a woman in her 60s, was crossing Washington Street between Railroad Avenue and Nahatan Street on her way to Bingo at St. Catherine of Siena Parish when she was struck by a car. Brooks told the selectmen Tuesday that the woman died a day and a half after she was hit.
Brooks said speed and reckless operation were not factors in the crash. It was reported that the woman was not in the crosswalk.

The operator of the vehicle is cooperating with investigators, according to Brooks.
The fatal incident was one of two that took place last week in Norwood. Two people died following a crash during the early hours of Jan. 31.
