Boston police said they found 13-year-old Coakley Middle School student Tyler Lawrence shot to death Sunday.
The man eventually surrendered and was transported to the hospital, Norwood Police wrote in a tweet just after 10:20 p.m.
"Tyler Lawrence was well-loved and a valuable member of our Coakley community," Norwood Public Schools Superintendent David Thomson said.

The incident occurred just after 11 a.m. Monday at the Home Market Foods plant in Norwood.
