Educator Brad Lopes will unpack Indigenous resistance, colonial courts, and the wider forces behind the conflict, with optional refreshments beforehand and tiered pricing for museum members and nonmembers.

3. Engine fire engulfs truck in West Tisbury (mvtimes.com) — An Oak Bluffs resident escaped injury after his pickup truck caught fire Tuesday night in front of the Field Gallery on State Road in West Tisbury. Police briefly closed nearby intersections while firefighters extinguished the blaze, and the heavily damaged truck was towed, with the owner and passenger managing to save some belongings before flames spread.
   

4. Migration Wanes (vineyardgazette.com) — Island birders have been busy spotting migrating warblers, shorebirds, and summer residents from Norton Point to Menemsha Hills, with sightings logged almost daily in May.
