The Selectboard has just approved the town manager job description, and a screening committee is expected to be discussed this week, shaping how future town leadership is chosen and how services are coordinated. 
• Louise Marie Hamel (atholdailynews.com) — Orange neighbors are mourning the passing of Louise Marie “Weezie” Hamel, whose funeral Mass is set for Monday, May 18, in Athol with burial in South Cemetery, Orange. The longtime banking professional and devoted family woman is remembered for her humor, compassion, and deep love for her community and relatives.
