PEABODY, MA — Peabody residents will have a chance later this month to hear about bicycle, e-bike, e-scooter and e-dirtbike safety at a community forum scheduled for Sept. 24 at Higgins Middle School.
The discussion will address recent issues and trends tied to bicycles, e-bikes, e-scooters and e-dirtbikes.
The Community Safety Forum is set for 6:30 p.m. in the Higgins Middle School auditorium. The forum is being hosted by the Peabody School Safety Task Force in partnership with Safe Routes to School.
The session will focus on both safety and the law. According to Attendees will learn about safety tips and laws, legal consequences, recent issues and trends, and guidance for parents and riders.
The event will also include an open discussion for questions from the community.
Participants include Safe Routes to School, the Peabody Police Department, Boston Children's Hospital and Higgins Middle School Principal Seith Bedard.
Part of the presentation will be aimed at guidance for parents and riders.
