Capone's Celebrates 20 Years in Peabody

[The following was submitted by Capone's Restaurant and Lounge.]

A frequent customer said it best, “Great food, good value.” Capone’s Restaurant and Lounge, 147 Summit St., Suite 20, Peabody, www.caponesdining.com, has been serving up great Italian cuisine and local, live entertainment for two decades.

As Capone’s celebrates 20 years in Peabody, quite an accomplishment given the recession-impacted economy, patrons of the popular North Shore eatery are being treated to a new look in the restaurant’s dining room and in the ‘Speakeasy” Lounge.

True to its namesake, think 20’s-era prohibition as inspiration for the transformation. The lounge features padded, leather clad walls, edgy contrasting colors and portraits of jazz greats hand-painted by the lounge’s designer, Joanna Ciampa of Winthrop. The dining room makeover, by Jeffrey Walsh, President of Hospitality Solutions Inc. of Beverly, creates a warm, casually sophisticated vibe with earth tone colors and stone walls.

It’s the food, however, that takes center stage at Capone's. Tried and true entrées, chicken parmigiana, pork chops with vinegar peppers, lasagna bolognese, to name just a few, keep customers coming back for more.

Capone’s owner, Pat Pescione, brings three generations of restaurant experience to the table. Capone’s prides itself on the use of the freshest ingredients and cooking food to order.

“Using years of family recipes and preparing dishes from scratch, we set ourselves apart from the chain restaurants which are prevalent today,” said Pescione.

Capone’s bridges the traditional with the latest in dining and entertainment trends. Capone’s has added several “fast casual” and lighter fare items to the menu which appeal to members of the millennial generation.

The restaurant is also a known fixture on the local music scene, offering live bands and dance music every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

“We have couples who come in with friends and make a night of it,” Pescione added. “It’s a great place to eat, then enjoy the live music and get up and dance.”
