Body Of Missing Peabody Man Found In Beverly

Beverly and Peabody police had been searching for the man who had not been seen since being discharged from Beverly Hospital on Jan. 26.

PEABODY, MA —The body of a Peabody man who had not been seen since walking away from Beverly Hospital nearly three weeks ago was found in Beverly Saturday afternoon.

The Essex County District Attorney's Office said Daniel Donovan, 47, was found in a wooded area near Woodland Avenue.

Foul play is not suspected.

Peabody and Beverly police had been searching for the man ever since he was discharged from Beverly Hospital about 2 p.m. on Jan. 26 and his family said it had not heard from him the next day.

The Essex County DA's Office said Beverly police received a 911 call about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday from someone reporting a body found in the wooded area.

The Essex State Police Detective Unit is investigating, per protocol, the DA's Office said.
