Crime Spree: Numerous Vehicles Damaged by Rocks and Spray Paint in Peabody
Peabody and Salem Police investigate numerous reports of vandalism on Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Peabody Police received a number of reports of vandalism to vehicles in the city on Tuesday night into Wednesday.
- At 8:20 p.m., vandalism investigated on Shillaber Street. Caller reported that someone in a silver Nissan with driver’s side damage had thrown rocks at multiple vehicles in the vicinity. Salem Police reported receiving similar calls on Tuesday night.Suspect vehicle was believed to be the same vehicle as a similar call on Winter Street.
- At 8:22 p.m., vandalism on Winter Street. Caller reported that someone threw a rock and smashed his windshield.
- At 9:13 p.m., vandalism on Newcastle Road. Caller reported that his vehicle was damaged by a rock.
- At 9:15 p.m. vandalism on Lenox Road in area of Abington Avenue. Caller reported that a silver-colored car threw a rock and damaged their vehicle.
- At 9:20 p.m., vandalism on Walsh Avenue. Caller reports a rock was thrown through their windshield.
- At 9:28 p.m., vandalism on Walsh Avenue. Report of a rock through the windshield of vehicle.
- At 9:56 p.m. vandalism on Northend Street. Officer reported rock damage to the side window of a commercial vehicle.
Salem Police also received calls reporting vandalism during the same time period. Read more:

At 11:21 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reports multiple vehicles in the area had been spray-painted.
Early Wednesday morning, a caller reported that someone came drove into his driveway on Endicott Street, and ran over his motorcycle. And on Collins Street, a caller reported his car tires were popped and car had been spray-painted and scratched overnight.

Just after 8 Wednesday morning, a Shamrock Street caller reported that her vehicle was damaged overnight. Someone broke the rear driver’s side window of her car. A few minutes later, police received another report of vandalism on Seamont Road. The resident reported damage to her vehicle. Someone had spraypainted her SUV.
At 10:43 a.m., vandalism was again reported on Winter Street. Caller reports a rock thrown through the window of his father’s car, vandalism to a motor vehicle was also reported on Northend Street.
The calls kept coming in on Wednesday afternoon. The driver’s side of a vehicle parked in the area of perkins Street and Lowell Street was spray-painted.
