Deadline Friday to Enter Topsfield Fair's Junior Pageant

The deadline to enter the 2011 Junior King and Queen pageant at the is this Friday.

Every year the fair hosts a pageant for children age 5–8 to become the Junior King and Queen and serve as a representative of the fair at local parades and other events throughout the year. This year’s pageant will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1 on the Trianon Stage.

All contestants are asked to be dressed in casual attire. Each child will be interviewed on stage and be judged according to general appearance, conduct and personality.

The deadline to enter is Sept. 30.

To enter your child, applications can be found on the Topsfield Fair web site under the “Exhibitions Handbook” section or by calling the Topsfield Fair office at 978-887-5000.
