Hockey Night in Boston Futures Announces North Shore Showdown
Towns Compete for the Title of Best of the North Shore
BOSTON, MA - Hockey Night in Boston will kick off its Futures division with its first annual North Shore Showdown this May. Youth hockey talent from town and club teams alike will join together to represent their town for the chance to be crowned the best of the North Shore.
The inaugural week-long tournament will showcase hockey talent from Boston’s North Shore towns. All tournament games will be held at Essex Sports Center, and players will receive souvenir t-shirts and team jerseys. Divisions will include 14U, 12U and 10U. Four teams from each division advance to the playoffs.

Hockey Night in Boston is a hockey media and events company. Since 1972, HNIB has showcased scholastic hockey in New England and beyond. The organization’s HNIB Summer Tournaments have been considered by many college and pro recruiters an important scouting criterion for evaluating the top underclassmen in the US. The HNIB Futures Division aims to find, promote and showcase high-end hockey talent focusing on players at the 14U division and younger.
