Thanksgiving foods Pies, cider and apples will be sold for Thanksgiving. But frozen fruit pies, which are more convenient than homemade, are also for sale. If homemade, come to the farm store for apples and squash. Thanksgiving wouldn't be complete without apple cider. The farm store will be closed Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 24, and reopen Friday, Nov. 25 at noon.
Decorative kissing balls Trees, decorated wreaths and kissing balls (custom-made available) will be for sale, starting Nov. 25. Visit Brooksby Farm for the holidays. Escape the crowds and the chaos...Browse through the farm store, and take in the warm, inviting atmosphere.

Holiday open house A holiday open house will be held Dec. 10 and Dec. 11 from noon to 3 p.m. Enjoy the holiday season at Brooksby Farm... in an old-fashioned way. Visit the tree yard for a selection of trees in all sizes. Warm up in the farm store with a cup of mulled cider. Enjoy pie sampling and tastings of jams, salsa, pickled veggies, and more. There will be many unique gift ideas. If the weather cooperates, there will be chilly wagon rides, or keep warm by the fire.
Veggie and fruit news Gardens and orchards have all been picked for the season. There are a variety of apples available in the farm store through December, including McIntosh, Cortland, Red Delicious, and Mutsu. Other varieties will only be around for a short time, such as Cameo, Fuji, Empire, Golden Delicious, Ida Red, Macoun, Rome, Russet and Spy. Famous apple cider is available through December. Winter squash also fills the store, including butternut, whole or peeled for convenience, along with Acorn and Blue Hubbard.
