Local high school students are invited to explore everything they will need to arrive in style for their prom this year.
Local retailers and vendors will be on site with amazing give-aways, demonstrations and special offers, to help you have the perfect prom night. Attendees can check out the latest fashions on the runway from some of Square One Mall’s hottest retailers, such as Platinum Clothing, Deb, and Filene's Basement, as well as our guest vendor, Russo's Tux.
Donations of gently worn, stylish prom gowns will be collected for Belle of the Ball, sponsored by Anton’s Cleaners. All guests are encouraged to bring a donation.
Attendees will have a chance to get a sneak peak of the top 10 prom trends of the season, which are:
1. Hair Buns - Super tight or messy, incorporating braids or curls
2. Ponytails - Low, High, tight, loose
3. Peach - This color is all over the place, from eyeshadow, to lips and cheeks, and even shoes!
4. Huge Jewels – either opaque or transparent, huge jewels on shoes, handbags and jewelry, like necklaces and cocktail rings
5. Details on handbags – wallet-sized clutches with fabric details, like satin roses or appliqués
6. Black eyeliner and lashes, with light eyeshadow
7. Full-length gowns with prints in dark, but bold colors
8. Short dresses with giant, asymmetrical ruffles or lots of sparkles
9. Single-strap dresses, both long and short, bejeweled or simple
10. Suede shoes – especially strappy high heels
