PVMHS Stage One Presents "Love of the Nightingale"

The Love of the Nightingale offers a contemorary retelling of the ancient Greek myth of Philomele, an Athenian princess whose questions are answered my silence and who is soon violently silenced herself, by her brother-in-law, the King of Thrace. This play explores the theme of silence and its relationship to violence, paralleling the struggle of opressed people in our world today. Can acts of speech prevent the violence?
