Friday Night in Peabody's a 'Dolphin Tale'

The mayor's office is hosting a free movie night at the Leather City Common this Friday.

The invitation is open for residents to trek down to the Friday night to take in a movie in the park.

Mayor Ted Bettencourt's office says the event, appropriately labeled a "Neighborhood Night at the Movies," will feature the film "Dolphin Tale," starring Morgan Freeman, Ashley Judd and Harry Connick, Jr. The movie is based on a true story of strangers who banded together to save the life of a dolphin.

Showtime is 8 p.m. and there's plenty of parking nearby in the Railroad Avenue lot.

“It should be a nice night to watch a great family movie,” said Bettencourt. “Be sure to dress warm, bring the kids' sleeping bags and some popcorn and we’ll all have a good time under the stars.”
