Hats Off at the Cassidy Art Museum
Hats, old and new, were on display on tables and pianos and atop people's heads inside the Cassidy Art Museum on Sunday afternoon for an opening reception for a new exhibit.
Large hats, small hats, pointy hats, round hats — they were all on display Sunday afternoon.
The Peabody Historical Society and Peabody Art Association invited the public in for a springtime celebration of hats, history and art to kickoff the newest exhibit at the Cassidy Art Museum.
The exhibit, appropriately titled “Hats off to History & Art!”shows off new works of art by inspired by, and placed alongside, antique hats from the Historical Society’s collection. The selection of period hats ranges from poke bonnets to pillboxes.
