Help Clean Up Peabody During Community-Wide Event This Spring

The annual community cleanup is set for May 18.

PEABODY, MA — Peabody residents are invited to join in a community-wide cleanup on May 18.

Volunteers are asked to come to City Hall between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to pick up cleaning supplies and then fan out to targeted areas throughout the city.

"There is a deep feeling of pride that comes with being part of this unique community," said Mayor Ted Bettencourt. "The annual Spring Cleanup is a great occasion to do something positive and constructive towards making Peabody an even better place."

The cleanup will include parks, lakes, ponds, bike paths, main streets and downtown Peabody.

Trash bags and work gloves will be given to all volunteers.
