Library Rocks the Block With Summer Reading Party

Peabody Institute Library kicks off summer reading with a day of fun for kids and teens.

The  hosted its own kickoff celebration to summer and reading on Saturday with the Summer Fun Extravaganza.

The free community block party featured youth bands, teen dance crews, a tattoo parlor, photo booth, juggler, poster contest, martial arts demonstration, raffles, food and a chance to sign up for the library’s summer reading programs in conjunction with the Peabody Public Schools.
