A Loving Message From Children's Museum Goers To Peabody Seniors
North Shore Children's Museum attendees made nearly 100 Valentine's cards this weekend to be delivered to the Torigian Senior Center.

PEABODY, MA — Nearly 100 homemade Valentine's Day cards will be delivered from the North Shore Children's Museum to the Torigian Senior Center on Tuesday as young museum attendees worked to help make it a special holiday for some of the city's older residents.
Museum Executive Director Ali Haydock told Patch there were about 300 visitors to the museum during the Queen of Hearts campaign this weekend with children making Valentine's over the course of three days.
The Valentine's will be dropped off as part of a holiday luncheon at the Senior Center on Tuesday.

"The event was a wonderful example of different parts of the community working together," Haydock told Patch on Monday. "The kids learned about the importance of expressing
love for others, and hopefully the seniors feel some love from the kids.
"While it's a 'Hallmark' holiday to many, the world can use as much love as we can give these days. We look forward to future partnerships with the Peabody Council on Aging.

Haydock said last week that the Queen of Hearts program fulfills the museum's mission by both providing a fun, interactive and learning experience for young children as well as giving back to the North Shore community.
