Man Arrested After Spending Too Long in Bathroom

Amesbury man's 30 minutes in restaurant bathroom arouses suspicion, is arrested for drug possession.

If you are out in public and allegedly doing and/or carrying drugs, you might want to make sure you don’t tie up a public restroom for too long.

One Amesbury man is facing drug possession charges after spending 30 minutes in a restaurant bathroom on Lowell Street on Monday morning.

Restaurant personnel called police around 11:30 a.m. after the man had not come out of the restroom for nearly half an hour.

When police arrived, they arrested Taylor Turbide, 41, of 10 Senee Court in Amesbury and charged him with possession of a Class A drug.

Turbide was also arrested on a warrant out of Haverhill District Court for speeding in violation of a special regulation, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and operating a motor vehicle without an ignition lock.
