Money Stolen From Nonprofit's Peabody Coffee Shop
Someone stole $134 from a cash register late Monday night or early Tuesday night.

PEABODY, MA -- Police are investigating an overnight theft of $134 from the Breaking Grounds Cafe in Peabody. Employees reported on Facebook that sometime after the store closed on Monday and before it opened on Tuesday morning the money was removed from a cash register. The shop is run by Northeast Arc to offer job opportunities to people with disabilities.
There were no signs of forcible entry. According to WCVB TV, which first reported this story, customers were asked to pay with debit and credit cards Tuesday morning until the store had collected enough cash to make change.
