• 2 Mass. Police Officers Struck by Vehicle; Suspect Drags Officer (officer.com) — Two Peabody police officers were injured at Northshore Mall after a robbery suspect allegedly drove off, striking and dragging one officer with his car before fleeing. A Boston woman was arrested at the scene, and a Boston man was later arrested on a Peabody District Court warrant and faces multiple charges. Both officers are recovering at home, and Chief Tom Griffin praised interagency cooperation.
   

• Essex County saw lowest price for premium gas at $4.66 in week ending Sept. 19 (northbostonnews.com) — Premium gas prices in Essex County remain steep, with Peabody drivers seeing some of the higher reported rates among local communities even as one county station hit a low of $4.66 per gallon. The report, based on GasBuddy submissions, shows Essex County's average premium price slightly above the statewide average and highlights how global oil disruptions and refinery outages continue to push fuel costs higher.
