Northshore Mall Adding Two Restaurants As Part Of Redevelopment
Other additions include a day spa and yet another Cafe Nerro for the greater Boston area.

PEABODY, MA -- Simon Property Group announced two new restaurants for the year-long redevelopment of the North Shore Mall. In addition to the previously-announced Bancroft & Co. and Tony C’s Sports Bar & Grill, the mall will also have New Hampshire-based hop + grind's first Massachusetts location and Amigo’s Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar.
Recently awarded ‘Best New Restaurant’ by New Hampshire Magazine for their flagship location in Durham, New Hampshire, hop + grind was an offshoot the Tuckaway Tavern & Butchery in Raymond, NH. The restaurant's chef, Bobby Marcotte, has appeared on Food Network’s "Diners Drive-Ins and Dives" and t"Guys Grocery Games," a food-based game show that he won twice.
Amigo’s Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar is billed as a "traditional" Mexican restaurant. Both eateries are scheduled to open this fall.

The completion of The Promenade at Northshore Mall includes several exterior elements and changes on the Route 114 side of the mall, including:
- New outdoor seating and landscaping.
- New patio dining at Tony C’s and upgraded patio dining at Not Your Average Joe’s and Legal Sea Foods.
- Renovated restrooms within the Food Court.
- New way-finding signs throughout the property and a new entrance to the Food Court.
- Outdoor stage for performances and community events.
- New lawn games placed throughout the greenery.
"As Simon continues to reinvest in its properties, the extensive transformation and exterior landscape enhancements that make The Promenade at Northshore Mall complete, will now provide shoppers and guests with even more contemporary dining and entertainment options, creating a unique experience each time they visit," said Mark Whiting, Mall Manager, Northshore Mall.

Also on Wednesday, Simon said it would be adding Tutti Spa, a full-service day spa, and Caffè Nero, a chain of European-style coffeehouses that has expanded aggressively in greater Boston in the past year.
Simon, which owns and operates traditional shopping malls, has been hard-hit by so-called lifestyle centers that feature a mix of housing, shopping, and dining as well as outdoor spaces. One such property, the Marketplace at Lynnfield, is roughly halfway between the Northshore Mall and another Simon property, the Burlington Mall. Last month Simon announced a major renovation for the Burlington mall.
