Obituary: Deborah L. (Salvatore) Gould, Longtime Resident of Peabody

Breast cancer awareness advocate

Deborah L. (Salvatore) Gould, a longtime resident of Peabody, passed away on Monday, after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family. Debbie was born in Peabody in 1964, the daughter of Lawrence “Buzzy” and Patricia Salvatore. She was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School with the Class of 1982. She then attended Merrimack College where she graduated with her Business Degree in 1986. She eventually became the Human Resources Director for New England Coffee in Malden, where she has been a dedicated employee for over 13 years.

In 1989 she married her sweetheart, Timothy E. Gould, in Danvers, MA. The two then settled down in Peabody where they raised their family.

Debbie was active in Breast Cancer Awareness and participated in many fundraising walks. She enjoyed gardening and decorating, and also had more active pastimes including snow skiing and jet skiing.

She is survived by her husband Timothy E. Gould of Peabody, her children, Eric M. Gould and wife Sandra of Malden, Leslie Anne Gould and husband Anthony Sorrentino of Winthrop, Jennifer H. Gould and companion Scott Goldberg of Peabody, and Michael T. Gould of Peabody, her mother Patricia (Chandler) Salvatore of Peabody, her sister, Laurie Zimmerman of Groveland, and her grandchildren, Ella Gould, Gianna Sorrentino, Eric Gould, Gavin Sorrentino, and Ryan Gould.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence “Buzzy” Salvatore.

Funeral services will be held from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home on Friday, Sept 26th, at 8:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Adilaide’s Church, 17 Bow St, Peabody, at 10 AM. Interment to follow in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 25th, from 4 – 8 PM.
