Obituary: Pauline M. (Fortin) Milan, Found Her True Calling in Driving School Buses
Pauline loved the kids, and especially interacting with the physically challenged youngsters.

Pauline M. (Fortin) Milan, 78 of Peabody, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the NSMC / Salem Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late T. Jerry Milan with whom she had shared 60 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Ernest J. and Irene M. A. (Fraser) Fortin. At a young age Pauline began working for Sylvania in Salem and also worked as a waitress for several local restaurants. Married to Jerry in 1953 she was devoted to her young family and was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. Pauline discovered her vocational true love later on when she began driving a school bus. Pauline loved the kids, and especially interacting with the physically challenged youngsters. Her routes were primarily in Peabody for Travel Time, Laidlaw and First Student.

She is survived by three sons, Michael T. Milan and partner Tina of Lawrence,
T. Jay Milan of Peabody, Steven L. Milan and wife Karen of Saugus, daughter Paula Lareau of Salem, her sister Constance Lules of Salem, and best friend Barbara Canty of Salem. She also leaves 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Mary Anne “Mia” Rocheville and her husband Robert, sisters, Gloria Ejsmund, Rita Caron, Jeannette Wilson and brother Ernest J. Fortin, Jr.
