Obituary: Richard P. Costa, 51, Raised and Educated in Peabody

Brick layer; member of Local 3.

Richard P. Costa, 51, of Lynn and formerly of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Friday March 20, 2015 at Union Hospital in Lynn. He was the long time companion of Laurie Ann Moore of Lynn.

Born in Saugus, he was the son of the late Angelo and Josephine (D’Amore) Costa. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1982. He has lived in Lynn for the past 20 years.

Richie was employed as a brick layer and was a member of Local 3. He also was employed with Shaw’s Supermarket in Salem for many years as well.

He was avid Boston sports fan of all the professional sports teams and he played hockey for many years. He also enjoyed watching the Three Stooges and was a Fan of the TV Show Thor.

Besides his longtime companion, he is survived by his two brothers, Frank and his wife Brenda Costa of Peabody and John and his wife Susan Costa of Seabrook, NH, his sister, Linda Fournier and her husband Robert of Peabody and was loved by his many nieces and nephews.

His visiting hours will be held on Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody and his Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
