Obituary: Robert George "Bob" Cail, Barbershopper for Over 62 Years
Robert George "Bob" Cail, 86, of Peabody and Danvers, died Sept. 17.

Robert George Cail 86, of Danvers, beloved husband of Jean Della (Bartlett) Cail, died September 17th, 2014, Wednesday evening at his home surrounded by his family.
Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Beverly and Lillian (McCurdy) Cail. He was raised and educated in Peabody and Danvers.
An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Navy, joining the armed forces at the age of 17 and served during World War II on a minesweeper.
Mr. Cail had been employed for over 42 years with the former Massachusetts Electric Company and more recently National Grid until the time of his retirement in 1992.
A longtime resident of the Town of Danvers, Robert was a performing Barbershopper for over 62 years. He was a charter member of S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. and the Northshore Men’s Barber Shop Chorus of Beverly. He was a charter member of the Danvers YMCA Dolphins Swim Team and other programs associated with the YMCA of Danvers.
Bob was also a major supporter of The Bretton Woods New Hampshire Boys Singers as well as the St. Paul’s Cathedral Choir in Boston. Bob was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed.
In addition to his loving wife of 62 years, Bob is survived by his sons, Robert J.Cail of Florida and Steven B. Cail and his fie Pamela of Florida, his three grandchildren, his 4 great grandchildren, his siblings Joan Corkum and her husband Harold of Hampton, N.H., Lois Thompson of Hamilton, Beverly Martin of Ft. Brag, California, Margaret Wilder and her husband Dr. Job Wilder of Mississippi, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Shirley Harris, Hilda Cail Stone and Rae Eckstrand, Donald B. Cail, James M. Cail and Bruce Cail.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers. Monday, September 22nd from 3 to 6 P.M.
