One Lucky Dog: Peabody Man Wins $4 Million Instant Ticket Game

PEABODY, MA — A Peabody man hit the jackpot on the Massachusetts State Lottery's "100X Cash" instant ticket game on a scratch ticket recently bought at Summit Variety on Summit Street.

Paul Riley arrived at Dorchester Lottery headquarters on Tuesday with his dog, Raven, to claim his one-time prize of $2.6 million before taxes.

He said he plans to donate some of his winnings to the Animal Rescue League as well as to buy a new car for his wife.

Summit Variety received a $40,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

This is the second $4 million prize to go along with six $1 million prizes for the new $10 game that launched in June 2023.
