Peabody, Beverly Police Seize Drugs, $150,000 In Bust

The joint, three-month investigation netted 240 Oxycontin pills, 4,000 Xanax pills and anabolic steroids.

PEABODY, MA -- Peabody and Beverly Police capped a joint, three-month investigation Tuesday by executing a search warrant and arrested a Peabody man. The search warrant was executed at 2 pm at 4 Applehioll Road in Peabody, where police recovered $150,000 in cash, anabolic steroids, 260 Oxycontin pills and 4,000 Xanax pills and arrested Marino J. Spirakis, 44, of 4 Apple Hill Road in Peabody.

Spirakis was charged with trafficking Oxycontin and two counts of possession of a class E drug with intent to distribute. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Peabody District Court on Wednesday morning.
