Peabody Fall Free Concert Series Planned

The concerts will be held at the Peabody Institute Library beginning outdoors on Aug. 22 and before moving indoors to the Sutton Room.

PEABODY, MA —The end of summer does not mean the end of free music in Peabody with the Peabody Institute Library planning a fall concert series beginning with an outdoor show on Aug. 22.

Concerts will then move inside to the Sutton Room and may be livestreamed or changed to fully virtual. The shows begin at 7 p.m.

The folk duo Hungrytown will open the series with a planned outdoor show on Aug. 22.

Irish and Celtic singer and harp player Aine Minogue will play on Sept. 12.

Scottish folk band North Sea Gas is set to play on Sept. 19.

Somerville singer-songwriter, and former Peabody Public Schools guidance counselor, Karen Grenier, is scheduled to play on Oct. 3. Her concert will feature her original work along with a few favorite songs that have inspired her along her path.

Violinist Joshua Perkins will perform his "Music Speaks" show of music from across the globe on Oct. 17.

Hungrytown is scheduled to then return on Nov. 14 with Grenier slated to play a return engagement on Dec. 5 and Minogue back on Dec. 12.

The season will conclude with a performance by the interactive ballroom dance group Dance Caliente performing "Dancing Joy" on Dec. 19.

Concerts are open to all but do require registration here or by calling 978-531-0100 starting one month before each show.
