Peabody Fire Leaves 2 Injured, School Delayed Early Wednesday
A fire on Ellsworth Road reportedly left a husband and wife injured and a multi-family house destroyed.
PEABODY, MA — Two Ellsworth Road residents were injured and school was delayed for two hours at Center School as an overnight fire destroyed a multi-family home early Wednesday morning.
Multiple reports said a husband and wife were hospitalized from their injuries after a fire burned for hours at the home. Peabody police were hampered in their efforts by a bad hydrant that caused them to stretch hoses down the street.
Officials said the man was found outside the house unconscious and suffering from "severe burns." He was flown to a hospital.
